#TDS26 Spotlight: Royal Highland Centre sets out 10-year destination vision

Royal Highland Centre Managing Director Mark Currie joins #TDS26 with a bold 10-year vision to transform the Edinburgh campus into one of the UK’s leading event destinations.

Mark Currie, Managing Director of the Royal Highland Centre, will join the VIP Guest List at TheStadiumBusiness Design & Development Summit 2026 (#TDS26), taking place at Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester from 30 November to 2 December 2026.

Mark is representing the Royal Highland Centre as it develops an ambitious programme of campus expansion, infrastructure investment and rebranding at Ingliston, Edinburgh. TheStadiumBusiness:

What is the vision for the campus?

Mark Currie:

“The Royal Highland Centre is delivering a bold 10-year strategy to transform the campus into one of the UK’s leading event destinations.”

TheStadiumBusiness:

What will the strategy involve?

Mark Currie:

“Central to this vision is a significant programme of campus expansion, infrastructure investment and the creation of a stronger destination identity through a comprehensive rebrand.”

TheStadiumBusiness:

How will the development strengthen the visitor offer and support the wider region?

Mark Currie:

“By aligning more closely with the growth ambitions of Edinburgh, Edinburgh Airport and the wider region, we aim to attract a broader international audience while enhancing the visitor experience through expanded retail, food and beverage and hospitality offerings across the estate.

This long-term investment will create a more vibrant, year-round campus, capable of hosting an even wider range of world-class events and delivering greater economic impact for Scotland.”
