#TDS26 Spotlight: Edgbaston’s next chapter takes shape

A new hotel, a new stand and a bigger year-round role for Edgbaston. With construction under way, we welcome Adam Lowe, Commercial Director at Warwickshire County Cricket Club, to TheStadiumBusiness Design & Development Summit 2026.

The Birmingham venue’s £46m redevelopment brings together a Radisson RED hotel and a new 3,200-seat stand, replacing the former Raglan and Priory Stands. With Sisk delivering the project, completion is targeted in time for the men’s Ashes in summer 2027.

Beyond the boundary

The 146-room hotel will include 85 pitch-facing rooms, alongside hospitality suites and ‘Spin’, a rooftop restaurant, bar and wraparound terrace overlooking the ground and Birmingham skyline. The new stand will also introduce a covered concourse and improved spectator facilities.

Together, these additions are intended to extend Edgbaston’s appeal beyond the cricket calendar, combining overnight stays, dining and hospitality with its established sporting offer. The hotel will also complement the venue’s existing conference and events business, giving organisers and delegates the convenience of on-site accommodation.

“This is the start of a really exciting chapter for Edgbaston and Warwickshire.”

A project to connect around

For fellow venue owners and project teams at #TDS26, Edgbaston offers a timely point of discussion: how can investment in accommodation and hospitality improve the matchday experience while creating more reasons to visit throughout the year?
