In this #TDS25 session, Rob Amphlett, Partner at Buro Happold, hosts a panel of industry experts to explore the essential ingredients for turning venue concepts into built, revenue-generating assets – and finding a construction partner is key.
Together, they will unpack the procurement conundrum, drawing on real-world experience from recent and ongoing projects. The panel will offer practical insights and proactive strategies to help clients position their developments for success – on time, on budget, and built to perform.

Rob (left) leads delivery of Sports and Entertainment projects, including Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Coop Live Arena, and Everton FC’s Hill Dickson Stadium. He also heads Buro Happold’s multi-discipline Sports and Entertainment team, delivering stadia and arenas across the UK and internationally.
David Hickey – Executive Director of UK Projects, CAA Icon
David (centre) brings over 20 years’ experience in construction and development, including Stamford Bridge, Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium, Sky’s European HQ, and the London 2012 Games.
Aidan Miller – Strategy and Projects Director, Wrexham AFC
Aidan (right) oversees Wrexham AFC’s long-term projects, including the Kop Stand, academy, women’s facility, and training ground. Previously, he delivered Everton FC’s Hill Dickson Stadium.
Andrew Downes – Head of Infrastructure Delivery, Tottenham Hotspur FC
Andrew manages the delivery and integration of infrastructure projects across Tottenham Hotspur FC’s stadium and club estate, ensuring smooth operations for football, NFL, concerts, and other events.
