Design & Development Summit 2025: Turning Community into Impact

The 2025 Design & Development Summit & Awards marked the 14th edition of our annual gathering for venue design, development and operations professionals – and once again demonstrated the power of our industry when it comes together with purpose.

Alongside two days of insight, collaboration and recognition, the Summit also delivered meaningful impact beyond the conference hall. Through a series of fundraising initiatives, the Design & Development Summit & Awards 2025 raised £3,714 in support of EMERGENCY, the international humanitarian organisation providing free medical care in areas affected by conflict and poverty.

How the funds were raised

Fundraising took place throughout the Summit, with delegates contributing £1,068 on site via contactless donation points. In line with Xperiology’s ongoing commitment to charitable giving, TheStadiumBusiness team matched all on-site donations, immediately doubling their value.

Further support came through the Donations for Nominations initiative, where a contribution of £5 was pledged for every valid entry to the Design & Development Awards 2025. This ensured that participation in the awards programme directly supported EMERGENCY’s work on the ground.

Together, these initiatives resulted in a total of £3,714 raised at the Design & Development Summit & Awards 2025, contributing to approximately £29,000 generated across all Xperiology events in support of EMERGENCY.

Thank you to our community

We would like to thank everyone who donated, submitted award entries, or helped raise awareness during the 2025 Summit. Your involvement continues to strengthen the culture of responsibility and community that sits at the heart of our events — and delivers real-world impact where it is most needed.

About EMERGENCY

EMERGENCY provides free, high-quality healthcare to those affected by conflict and poverty. Their sustainable approach includes building healthcare facilities, training local personnel, and conducting search and rescue missions in the Mediterranean Sea. Since 1994, EMERGENCY has treated over 13 million people in 21 countries and currently operates in Afghanistan, Eritrea, Iraq, Italy, Palestine, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Uganda and Ukraine.

We are immensely grateful for the support shown by our attendees and partners this year, not only at #TDS25 & #TDA25, but across all our events.

Xperiology is proud to support EMERGENCY and will continue its fundraising efforts across the 2026 event calendar, building on the impact achieved in 2025 and reinforcing the role our industry can play in creating positive change. Support EMERGENCY’s life-saving work by donating [here].
