Which football clubs are making the most per seat? Are they getting the most matchday revenue per seat that their stadium can deliver?
Using data from the Deloitte Football Money League 2015, we worked out how much the 20 top-earning football clubs make per seat each matchday and placed the clubs in order of who makes the most of their attendance.
Last year, Chelsea topped the table with a massive £1,974 earned per seat per matchday, almost £200 per seat ahead of nearest rivals Arsenal. Real Madrid was also the only non-English team in the top five in 2014’s TheStadiumBusiness League Table. How has it changed this year? Does Chelsea still have a stranglehold on the league and how are the Italian clubs faring this year?
