One year on at the One Twenty

Wembley will host the upcoming TheStadiumBusiness Design & Development Summit 2018, and one year ago, the new exclusive members’ club at Club Wembley opened its doors. Since then, the ‘Club within a Club’ has delivered a new benchmark in sports hospitality.

One Twenty, designed by KSS, was the first major upgrade at the ‘Home of Football’ in a decade and has been a huge success raising the game in terms of the hospitality offer and taking the fan experience to a new level.

For those that have not been lucky enough to visit the One Twenty, the experience kicks-off by ascending a stylish staircase to the upper floor where the exclusive One Twenty sits behind impressive metal panelled screens, creating privacy and exclusion from the Bobby Moore guests below.

From here, we move onto The Lounge, which provides one of the most spacious and generous hospitality lounges per head in UK sports hospitality. Guests have the choice of dining from a bespoke Lounge menu. This is a new feature for Wembley, with enhanced dining options that better suit the match time and their guests. The new hybrid experience has proved hugely successful in the first year, with the addition of a large sport sized TV providing the perfect balance to the lounge.

The Bar area is a destination in itself for its scale and presence. At 20 metres long, it is both a drinking Bar and long enough to provide space to dine. The Bar is extremely popular with members, with the balcony screens also opening up so guests can take a sneak peek at the entertainment below.

The Restaurant has received very positive reviews, with members enjoying a large choice of food in a five-course, 5 choice menu, truly delivering on the promise of guest choice whilst still providing an exceptional standard. Served at the guest’s own dedicated table, where your own host is there to greet you, adding to the real sense of ownership and familiarity.

The clever creation of mini-dining spaces through the design of fixed furniture means that you only ever feel like you are dining in a 50-seat Restaurant, when in fact the Restaurant can cater for up to 450 people. There is still a true buzz within the space, as you get glimpses through to other dining areas.

The One Twenty membership goes even further than the Lounge, Bar and Restaurant with Home House Membership and a Connections Programme, which includes England away matches and watching training sessions at St George’s Park, adding another dimension to the word – exclusivity.

One year on, the elements that made the One Twenty so special when it opened are still evident, from the exquisite environment, genuine guest choice, exceptional service, access into a community of like-minded individuals and a network and experience that extends outside of Wembley.

The members have been highly complementary too, Kristen Lueck said, “The club is gorgeous! Every detail of hospitality explored to bring the member journey to life.” Club Wembley has also been full of praise for the One Twenty, Ros Robinson, Head of Marketing at Club Wembley said, “The initial design through to the delivery of the One Twenty has provided the perfect entertaining space for the highest level of Club Wembley membership.”

Update: The One Twenty has also been shortlisted alongside KSS’ most recent work at the Home of Football together with Centre Circle, Bobby Moore, Three Lions and The Lioness as part of the Club Wembley Experience Upgrades in the category best ‘Interior and Fit Out’ at TheStadiumBusiness Design & Development Awards 2018.

Club Wembley will host the Welcome Reception at TheStadiumBusiness Design & Development Summit 2018 on 12 November, and we cannot wait to welcome you into the height of hospitality at the KSS-designed One Twenty.
