Project Update: Lower-tier seating and new pitch at Anfield
Liverpool FC won’t play a game at home until September, to allow Anfield redevelopment work to continue.
Burnley are to host the clash on Aug 20 at Turf Moor, along with their first three games of the new season.
Attendees of the Summit’s ‘Merseyside Derby’ tour day, on 31 October, will be given exclusive access to the development site which will see stadium capacity increase by more than 9,000 seats.
The most recent development, reported by supporter’s website This is Anfield, sees the fitting of brand new seats to the lower tier of the Main Stand.
During this time the pitch will be reseeded, and under-soil stripped, resulting in a perfect pitch for 2016/2017.
Due to be complete in January 2017, the project will also boast a major facelift of both the interior facilities and stadium exterior.
The Summit, in early November, couldn’t be more perfectly timed to tour an almost complete project at one the world’s most renowned stadiums… and you could be there.
Registered delegates of #TDS16 are offered exclusive purchase of the ‘Merseyside Derby’ tour day, going behind the scenes and meeting the project teams at both Anfield and Goodison Park.
Limited places for this exclusive tour day are still available – reserve yours here.
