Ahead of TheStadiumBusiness Design & Development Summit 2022, we caught up with Jonathan Gregory, commercial director at The Goodwood Group…

Gregory joined The Goodwood Group in September 2020, after previously serving as chief commercial officer of the Bahrain International Circuit.

Prior to that, he was commercial director at Premier League football club Leicester City from September 2016 to December 2018. He has also spent time at the Football Association, Adidas, Fulham FC and Puma.

The Goodwood Group is an event services company, with specialties including motorsport, horse racing, golf, hospitality and sponsorship. One of the recent additions to its offering is Goodwoof, which features world-class competitions for dogs, wellness workshops, talks from key behavioural and veterinary experts, and free-of-charge activities for guests and their dogs…

TheStadiumBusiness: What’s exciting you in the field of stadium design at present?

Jonathan Gregory: “I’m looking forward to the design, development and demand for smaller, more fan-friendly venues especially in entertainment and music.”

TSB: What’s in the pipeline for Goodwood in terms of projects over the next six to 12 months?

JG: “Goodwoof 2023 – which will be its second year – as well as the development of our international plans and growth.”

TSB: What are you most looking forward to about the Summit?

JG: “Seeing lots of familiar and friendly faces and not wearing a mask! And decent coffee, hopefully…”
