This pre-Summit programme provides an in-depth briefing and expert tour of Manchester City FC’s recently completed, £300m (€335m) North Stand expansion and new entertainment district: Medlock Square.

A NEW DESTINATION

Medlock Square is set to become a new focal point for supporters on matchdays and beyond.

The name takes inspiration from the River Medlock, which runs beneath the site – connecting the development to the area’s heritage and its continued regeneration. The river also appears in the Manchester City club badge and has a long-standing, deep connection to this club.

At the heart of Medlock Square is the Etihad Stadium North Stand expansion – now named The Pep Guardiola Stand in honour of the club’s manager from 2016-2026. This major development has increased the stadium’s capacity to over 60,000 following the introduction of 7,000 new seats, as well as new premium bar and hospitality experiences to cater for the varying needs of fans. At least 3,000 of the additional capacity have been allocated to rail seating.

A new, integrated 401-bed hotel welcomes overnight guests and an all-new, immersive and interactive Museum Experience celebrates City’s past and present in exciting new ways, bringing fans even closer to the moments that define its history.

A brand-new flagship City Store will form part of the development, alongside a covered activation space with capacity for up to 3,000 people as a dedicated hub for matchdays and Club events throughout the year. And, high above, a new rooftop experience allows visitors to experience the stadium like never before.

PROGRAMME*

12:30 – Coach* departs Hilton Garden Inn, Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester.

13:00 – Arrive at Etihad Stadium (for all tour participants)

13:15 – Buffet Lunch (Locally sourced, two course buffet lunch).

14:00 – Behind the Scenes Expert Tour Including info stops† of key spaces across the new stand and entertainment district:

• Medlock Square canopy-covered activation space;
• Concourse Catering spaces;
• New Premium spaces;
• The Medlock (Radisson Blu) Hotel;
• Pitchview Hotel rooms/Matchday suites;
• Fine dining restaurants;
• City Hall – 800sq m column-free event space.

16:00 – Close of tour/event. Day visitors depart.

16:10 – For #TDS26 delegates only: Coach departs to Hilton Garden Inn, Emirates Old Trafford – arriving ahead of #TDS26 Welcome Reception, sponsored by Portview and the official Summit kickoff.
